Parent Meetings

Individualized meetings

Parents are invited to come in after the initial goal setting meeting for follow up parent education meetings with their therapist. This meeting is to review progress and strategies and to set new goals if needed. These meetings take place at different intervals depending on the individual needs of the family, but generally take place after every 8-10 sessions.

Monthly parent education and support meetings

Monthly parent education and support meetings take place every 4th Monday of the month. These free meetings include general topic discussion with the therapists and provide a place for parents to share experiences and strategies with each other.

Our philosophy

Play is the occupation of children. As kids grow, it is through play that they develop their motor and sensory processing and integration skills. At Great Kids Place, in our state of the art sensory gym, we use play to optimize engagement and participation in occupational therapy sessions to work on the development of sensory, fine motor, gross motor, core strength, motor coordination, motor planning, visual and handwriting skills.
